Our twice yearly affair

We decided to try out The line @ Shangri-La on his 26th birthday

The poor birthday boy can't take leave on his birthday, and worse still, he OT-ed till 8+ on a Friday night.

Armed with my trusty GPS, i drove to the hotel from my house. Our original plan was to head to Dempsey after dinner so driving there will be more convenient. Else, i will just take a cab down. Save me from driving there alone haha.

The buffet spread at The Line is huge. Varied from Asians to Westerns to Jap to Indian cuisines.

The must-try at the restaurant definitely are the Oysters. Soooo Succulent and sweet! Unlike the previous buffets we went to, the oysters at the line are freshly opened for you. But that would also mean ingesting lots of chipped shells and sand.

The next most popular station is the Japanese. Similar to the seafood section, sashimis were sliced on the spot by the chefs, instead of picking from the counters.

While i feasted on the value-for-money food items, wr on the other hand ate all the cheap stuff.

Like roti prata, wanton mee, RICE!

Super waste of money to bring him to buffets. Who the heck eat 4 slices of roti prata in buffets?!

Overall, i feel that the The line's only so-so. Nothing to rave about actually, maybe except for the oysters haha.

I still think Mezza9 wins hands down.

So feel like going back there again on Xmas!

As expected, we were so bloody full that we decided to skip Dempsey. So much for driving there alone.
