Bintan :)

Ahhhhh. I had a fantabulous weekend getaway with the girls. Till now i'm still missing the place!! Will definitely go back there again (:

The staff at our resort provide us with superb customer service. If BKK is the land of smiles ( which i beg to differ), then Bintan will be the island of thousand smiles. People there are warmth and extremely courteous. Even though internal shuttle is available, we were being chauffered around in cars most of the time. And its FOC!



After dinner/supper at an exquisite thai restaurant by the sea, the staff at the restaurant had very kindly drove us to the beach resort where there's to be beach party. The live band was good! We ordered drinks but it was too strong for me. I literally fell asleep at the beach sofa bed after drinking 1.5 glasses, with poor BY having to down 8 glasses and YH 6 glasses to finish the 2 jugs. Both of them were so amused by me sleeping and took loads of pictures of my unglam moment haha! shall post it up after i got hold of them. And I know i'm not drunk, because i woke up after that and appeared more sober than the two haha.

We were blow away by the sight of the starry sky that night. If only i could capture the amount of shinny stars in my camera!



We managed to sunbathe for 20 minutes on the 2nd day before the sky poured us. How sad! I thought i could return to SG with a nice tan. We didnt even get to walk by the beach after that cuz the rain just keep falling.



Since we can't do anything outdoor, we spent most of the time relaxing at Aura Spa, where we had our pedicure and massage. I felt like a queen lying there, eating pizza and having my nails done. =p The hawaiian pizza was damn good by the way.



One of the MUST-DOs in our itinerary was to go Kelong for the seafood. We were so excited and were the first to reach. We'd initially wanted to catch sunset at the Kelong but it was still drizzling and was damn cloudy. But nevertheless we still took tons of pictures on the bridge, and the staff are always so more than willing to help us take photo. :)

Needless to say, the seafood was damn yummy. But the price is equivalent to that of SG's, or maybe slightly cheaper. A small plate of crayfish consisting of 10 cost only 22 bucks! Very worth it :)
