Stones & pebbles along the way

Work made me feel like this week was hideously long and painful. It was those days whereby you drag yourself to work, not wanting to leave your bed each mornings, sulking all the way to work and heave a big sigh of relief when it's knock off time. I've never felt like this before, until this week.

I think i mind too much about how others think of me.

I consoled myself that shit happens everywhere. Its back to the cliche saying that it's part and parcel of life. So we, the versatile homosapiens, should embrace stones and pebbles along the way. It's another lesson learnt.

But well, despite the unhappiness, there are still pleasant stuff worth mentioning!

Tuesday was ben&jerry free cone day! Since great world is just a stone's throw away from the office, my colleagues and i went que-ing for the free cone!! Wow i must really salute the management of B&J. The crowd control and the rapid turnover amazed me. I was expecting to que for at least 30 mins judging by the no. of people queuing but i got my cookies affair ice-cream in about 5 mins! No wonder SO many people went for 2nd, or maybe even 3rd helpings of free cones tsk tsk~

If it wasn't for me threatening to post a video of them entering the que 2nd time, my colleagues would have gone ahead hahaha.

I hopped over to chelle's for dinner on thurs and went home happily with a bag full of work dresses. Many thanks to her and her sista! i love those dresses so i can't wait and wore one of them the next day, even though it's friday where we are allow to dress down.

Meet up sessions with my girlfriends, esp after work, never fail to make me feel warm and fuzzy. Just chatting and catching up with chelle on thurs seemed to have a soothing effect on me. It's like neutralising the poisons that arise from work. Like what Shape mag reported, women who have strong ties with their girlfriends live longer. I think i can understand why now. :)

Yours truly is finally gotta graduate officially. Waited for 8 months for this moment so i can't exactly say that i'm excited. I'm more looking forward to the studio shot that my family + oreo will be taking haha. I need to find an appropriate dress/top/whatever for my mum before she drives me mad. Luckily dad is being provided with suit so that's one less worry.

Since we were in the vicinity, wr happily suggested we go old airport road's hawker centre for dinner. Wah i must say that place is a food haven. We had dumplings, chee chong fan!!!, oyster egg, rojak, bbq chix wings, porridge, herbal chicken soup, rice balls, kangkong and sugar cane. It was yummy but yet sinful to the max hahah. The cheechongfan is esp nice! When the circle line is up, i shall go there for food more often since it's located just opp mountbatten MRT.

And it was only halfway through the dinner that wr and I realised we missed the earth hour. I was still making a mental note to switch off any electronics items i have with me!
