Deepavali holiday was good! Especially so when it fell on a Monday. Loong weekend and i neednt have to go to school in the morning. After sunday's gruesome training, my bro decided to treat us to BoonTongKee chicken rice at bukit timah. Its so nice!! The rice is shaped in pyramid and its not at all oily. The signature side dishes like the fried tofu and the sambal kangkong is damn yummy!! I had 2.5 plates of the pyramid, and thats like after eating yong tau foo before that at Marina square with the team. The bad bf was there too. I think the both of us can easily finish half a chicken + endless plates of chicken rice. yay i wanna go back there again! =)



Okay now for the overdue foodie update:

Cystal Jade Steamboat Buffet dinner @ Holland Village!!




11 of us headed down to Holland V after lecture some friday ago. Courtesy of Mingyang, who intro-ed us to this. Its $18++ per head for the buffet so after the gst and stuff, each of us pay $21.50.













Overall, i think the steamboat was okay only. The nice part was the dimsum, where theres like free flow xiao long bao and char siew bao. We ate at least 30 baskets of xiaolongbao so i think we should have recover our cost alrdy hee. And of course, the company plays a major role in making the dinner seemed nicer than it really is too!

As she had never been to Shokudoh before, both of us decided to have our dinner there. I'm having a uber strong cravings for Rosti now as i upload the pictures. Arggghh! The rosti is as nice as the ones they serve in Mache. Cheaper too!! If theres ever one dish i want to learn how to cook, it will definitely be rosti. So crispy and yummy =)












I had the japanese curry chicken rice whereas she had the omu rice. I think my curry rice is damn good and quite filling! Its only $8.80 which i think is quite worth it.

Look what has DB do to me and my skin. If i were to die from an illness one day, i guess it would be skin cancer. Somehow i suspect the SPF 30 isnt enough to protect my skin from the scorching sun. Next time i shall buy SPF 50 banana boat. The bad bf says his swimming coach friends all preferred bananaboat to Nivea as Nivea gets wash off by water easily.


Ok anyway, after dinner and some walking around, By and i caught the movie 20th Century boys. Surprisingly both of us think that the movie is quite nice. Its the intriguing, mysterious type of movie. Too bad its a trilogy so we have to wait for another 2 film before we figure out whos the baddie.


Its end of year soon and im so tempted to just go away for a short getaway. HY just messaged to tell me that Jetstar having air tix promotion and its pretty cheap!! I WANT!!!!
