Heartache :(


Yesterday was spent in town with wr, doing some last minute shopping for both of us. It was a fruitful trip, with us spending over $600+ in a single day, leaving us quite satisfied but very broke. I was hoping for a mega sale everywhere, since, you know, the economy is not doing well, but neh. The nearest he got was 10% off his ralph laurent shirt and $20 off his levis basic tee. At least better than nothing.


But i think the amount of money we saved was to offset the CNY surcharge. I kind of convinced wr to pluck his brows, its $18 frigging bucks!! I wanted to do my nails, but there's surcharge too. So i didnt do in the end.


So here comes the sad part. I'm in dire need of a good pair of jeans so we head to levis. Apparently, you can trade in your old pair of jeans, ANY brand, and u'll be entitled $50 off the whole receipt provided it's above $100. BLOODY HELL!!!!!! I thought of coming back again with my old jeans but i wouldnt have the time. Plus, i spent over an hour trying countless pairs of jeans, i dont want to come back another day to learn that its sold out. Boohoo. $50 leh!!! wr and I can eat a sumptuous meal at sushi tei with that 50 bucks!!!! :(


I couldnt get over it and whined to wr the whole time we were in town. He tried to console me by saying at least I didnt buy miss sixty jeans which could be twice the price. So in a way, i'm already saving. But he's totally not making me any better.


I went home and whine to my mom, but at least she made me feel better. Cuz my old pair of jeans had already given to salvation army. Phew. So i told myself, well, at least i've given it to charity and not garang guni. I was about to smile again when i suddenly thought of another old pair of jeans sitting in my wardrobe, which i forgot to clear for cny....ARGH.
