June Race 2008 - 28/29 June.

Frankly speaking, our team wasnt really very prepared for this race, due to the long exam breaks and everyone's busy schedule. I was one of them. Didnt managed to go for most of the trainings cuz of my stupid internship. Once again, i really shouldnt be so itch hands to sign myself up for internships. Loss more than gain, you know?

The classical moment, where we came in 3rd in our IVP mixed event. This medal is my first ever local medal, and all of us rowed our lungs out for this okays! This picture was taken just after we crossed the finishing line. The photographer must be damn zai.

The graduating seniors who have already left the team. Somehow it just feels weird to not be able to row with Yol, Ang and anges anymore. I still miss the Regetta period where we used to row together so often, and see each other more often than we see our own family members. Aww i miss them.

SIMDragons. And congrats to our SIM mens team who beat NUS in IVP grandfinals. WE CAME IN SECOND!! Wooweee. Something to be really proud of. I hope the next IVP medal will belong to the ladies team. Gotta train hard man.
BANGKOK TRIP with SIMSdragons : 4-8 july

Wr and I stayed over at the airport the night before we depart, because we cheapskates wanna save on the midnight cab fare. Since we have to check in at 4am, we might as well stayed over. So we had nothing to do in the wee hours and decided to explore from T1 to T3. Theres nothing much at T3 actually. Damn big and quite empty.

We wanted to eat Mac initially cuz thats the only thing thats open at 1am. But cuz its so expensive over at Airport and not filling, we decided to walk on and look! We found ya kun kaya toast. Our favourite hehe.

Check out how heavy the traffic is during peak hours, that we are left with no choice but to WALK and WALK.

Our 2nd day at chatuchak market. I wanna go back there and buy the entire market back.

While on the cab there. Haha its damn candid.

This is EASILY one of the NICEST ice cream ive ever eaten. Its coconut ice cream served on a coconut husk with coconut flesh. And while queing, they offer free coconut juice too. Its like heaven under such scorching hot weather can! So yummy!

Look! All six of us squeezed into the back seats with wr happily sitting in front. So who says dragonboaters are big and bulky?

Dining along the roadside. The food is superb.

The legendary TUK TUK. too bad i didnt managed to try cuz i heard its quite dangerous and most of them are big cons.

The very yummy noodles that cost 8 Baht per bowl (which is about 0.3 cents). You can easily finish it in 2 mouthful and i ate 13 bowls of it i think! So nice. But the people are damn poor thing to keep having to wash bowls. Wr ate dunno 16 or 18 i think.

The combined power of 7 people.

ALL of us, and i mean ALL, were quite hooked to this. WR went thai massage everynight!
And how can i miss out the FOOD??

Our dinner on the 1st nite. I didnt know thai have yummy jap food too. And its super cheap!!

Yes, the coconut ice cream thats worth dying for.

Roadside satays are mine and wr's favorite!

Tom Yum Gong. How can anyone not try this while in thailand?? Well, i didnt hehe. It looks menacingly spicy man.

Very tasty chicken noodle soup at chatuchak. And he ate 2 bowls!

These are everywhere in BKK. Tasted one but its not very nice cuz its cold alrdy. Bleah.

I think im quite addicted to their chicken noodle soup. I had it again on my 2nd day at chatuchak!

And dont you just miss this curly fries??

The 8 Baht noodles! We ordered truckloads!
I miss all the fun and the company, seriously. Thats what makes the trip double enjoyable. :)
