I'm proud to declare that i'm a finisher of standard chartered half marathon(21.1KM) with a not so proud timing of 2 hrs 13 mins. I was aiming to run below 2 hrs actually, but since this is my virgin marathon, i went at a really slow pace in the 1st 16KM.


I love running in major marathon like this. It feels good to be awake at an unearthy time of 5am on a sunday to see perhaps half the population of singapore running with you. Yea it feels mad that these words are actually said by me but seriously, the feeling is wonderful. As i jogged, i saw sunrise in marina area too and it was spectacular. It's a pity i didnt carry my camera with me.



Saw quite a number of familiar faces during the marathon too. Next year i must psycho all my buddies to go join the marathon. 1st on the list will be YYR because she is becoming flabby already haha. =)


Anyway next year i'm going to run for the full marathon, the 42.195KM and i make sure i will complete it even if i have to crawl towards the finishing line, because i desperately want that finisher shirt!! Hopefully the sponsor will still be adidas next year 'cuz the black finisher shirt is nice!


Oh yes and the services standard chartered provided in this marathon was really cool. They have this area whereby full marathoners are entitled for body massage. I heard from my friend that the massage is damn comfortable! Haha i shall try it next year. Also, they provide free photography for participants after the marathon too! Damn cool ok. We just have to have our pictures taken, remember the reference code and download from the adidas website. I should have taken more, now that i thought back.

Stanley, Me and alicia. Alicia was jogging side by side with me for most part of the marathon. =) Yea and since they were giving out free isotonic drinks everywhere, i downed like 4 cans of 100 plus and burped non stop for 3 minutes. Sounds gross i know hehe.



I managed to catch vernon(shaggy) 'cuz his height stand out among the crowd.



The photographer says he's too tall that he's casting shadow so he has to squat down a little haha. Shaggy is a damn funny guy.



I still have loads to blog about. Like my gatherings and my dragonboat Penang trip. Will blog about them next time when i'm free! Till then!
