I've been wanting to go Sengkang Swimming complex for its unique facilities - water slides! Chanced upon it 2 years ago when i attended liping's 21st birthday at the community centre. So wr and i made use of the the public holiday to check it out.
The journey there almost killed us. Freaking far away from Pioneer MRT can!
Pioneer MRT -> Outram MRT -> Sengkang MRT -> Farmway LRT. Goodness!
We headed straight for the water slides, didn't bother to even soak in the pool first.
It may seem like child's play in the pictures but believe me, it's not! Both of us suffered momentarily blocked ears/nose while plunging down the high-speed water slides. The heavier you are, the faster you go because those little kids who queued with us didn't make much of a splash, unlike ours.
Wr insisted that he was lifted off the slide while plummeting down, and landed with a heavy 'thump!' wow!
I would have push myself down the kids' slide if not for the stern looking lifeguards.
We hurriedly left the pool for the impromptu BBQ session suggested by bro. They bought disposable BBQ pits and held it at a BBQ area near my block. My stomach was rumbling fiercely so imagine the pain of traveling back home.
Farmway LRT ->SengKang MRT ->Outram MRT -> Pioneer MRT.
Wanted to hail cab and chiong back but the dinosaur land has none in sight!
The good news is, we get to eat everything upon reaching. No need to BBQ!
And i was so delighted to see little oreo barking around. Usually my family wont bring him out if i weren't around. He smelled like BBQ chicken after that.
So that concludes my national day celebration, with no fireworks, no parade.
