a vesak well spent

Long weekends are not to be wasted. In fact, mine was so awesome that i felt really blue and gloomy back at work on Monday. I realised the feeling of mild depression is always at its peak whenever i return from a vacation or a longer-than-usual break from work.  It is also under such circumstances where i wish i am a tai-tai.

YESSSSSS!!!

Wr's final year exams' finally over. He's a freebird now and it irritates the shit out of me because i have to work!! I didn't get to nua and idle at all when my exams ended. I recalled returning to the team and started training the very next day after my last paper. This went on for about 2 weeks till race day where i started work straight after the event. I experienced withdrawal symptoms from DB and remembered surfing FB, viewing the race photos during my 1st few days at work. That is partly also there wasn't much work to start off with.

That was almost a year ago. How scary.

So anyway my eventful long weekend started with wr and i hitting town after donkey months of hiatus. The new malls in orchard road are popping up at an alarming rate! I honestly can't remember what they're named 'cept for 313, orchard central, and ion haha.

We went town for the sole purpose of locating solar powered Stitch bobbling head. Thinking that Action City sells wide variety of those, our 1st stop was Heerens. Little do we know that the toy shop has long been converted to Thai Express. Tsk tsk~ Basically we combed the entire stretch of malls but to no avail. Pls let me know if you know of places selling it!!! And if you have no idea what i'm rumbling about, this is the one.

I wanna put it in my family's newly bought car! (before my bro places his transformer/iron man toy)

Wr got me a new footwear! Birks!! Wanted to purchase it online but b'cuz it's an old design so websites dont have it. So ex to buy it in local stores.

Next day was Adidas Sundown. The race was poorly organised in certain aspects. More importantly, the goodie bag sucks. I finished with the timing of 2 hrs 17 mins, 4 mins slower than 3 (or 4?) years ago when i ran Stand Chart. Boo~

The neverending stretch of road was mentally draining. Thankfully the weather was ideal for running.

On our way home, we solemnly swear that we are not gotta do any vigorous exercise for the next 1 week.

Yet in less than 12 hours' time, we readily geared ourselves up for another calorie burning activity - Car Washing. Honestly, i'd rather do 21KM of run than to wash, clean and wax car. It's a such a laborious chore!! Bringing Oreo along was a grave mistake for he was jumping up and down, leaving behind his dirty lil' paw prints on the bumper everytime we finished soaping the area.

Like this.

Bro was the biggest whiner after the race but he still manage to do alot of cleaning that noon. He was responsible for wiping the car top cuz he's got long limps hahha.

It's therapeutic to splash buckets of water at the car. I like!

Bro commented that we look like best of friends in that pic. Oreo is so cute.

Monday blue's not going to haunt me today, for it's my off day tomorrow! I'm going JB with wr! Hopefully i'm able to locate my Stitch solar powered bobbling head!
