Anyway, my previous weekend was being burnt at Chinese Garden, along with all the other dragonboaters. We took part in this 5 men crew race which is quite retarded because we spent 4hrs++ just to row for 1 min+!! The 2nd day was even worse because we were there for 9 hrs++ just to row for, again, 1 min!! But nevertheless it was fun! It was more of a team bonding event rather than a race event, so everyone just went around talking rubbish and bullshitting. We were the only team there that looked like we were having picnic. We brought sandwiches, snacks, fruits, biscuits, poker cards and at one point of time i even spotted a bottle of beer in the ice box haha! I was just busy munching snacks on Day 1 that my captain had to ban me from eating, But day 2 i didnt eat much okay. Too panic-strickened to eat anything already heh.
At the end of the day, the womens team didnt manage to clinch any medals. The mens team did though! Hopefully the womens team will do better in the up and coming race in Nov! =)
Now for the photos. It took me so long to find them, resize them and upload them. Ggrr.
Some random picture taken while we were walking there from Chinese garden. And freak shit it was a loooong walk ok! Around 15 minutes!
Chinese Garden. Initially i thought the race would be held INSIDE the chinese garden where i can get to see all the lantern decorations for free? Yeah that was my wishful thinking because we were directly OPPOSITE it. How sad!
The mini dragon boat. It was so small and rocky that my feet slipped during the race. Luckily i didnt fall off the water! Thank goodness man!
No idea why i look so happily at the ground heh.
Looks like i'm not the only one pigging out there! Pity no one took picture of the amount of food we brought. It is as though we were preparing for war.
The ladies team! ( plus an extra!)
The ladies team! (No extra this time!)
One of the guys boat came in first! Damn zai ok! Look how far they were leading!
No prize for guessing what card game they were playing. Hint: It is the game that you usually play in chalets and next thing you know, the security guards came storming into your room asking you to shut up.
Doing warm up with medicine balls. I hate medicine balls. They are heavier than little oreo, and i have to hurl them around like they are weightless.
And of course, presenting to you the SIMDragons! :)
Let me know if you can't spot me in the picture. I will beat you up.
